There were many standing dead and downed aspens
And assisting (and competing) in their return to the earth were troops of Pholiota and Coprinus!
Is this photo showing competition, succession, or is it just two species sharing a tasty aspen together?
Everywhere you look... Pholiota!
Just a scrap of bark was enough!
They certainly are great for photos.
The coprinus was equally impressive...
Not only could you not miss them...
