These enticing fellows were always found on rotting wood

Often, they grew to very large size...

 

Easily reaching 5"-6"

The gills are especially interesting, as they are reticulated at their bases.

After some research, they keyed out to Megacollybia platyphylla

Troops of wood rotters are always fun to find.

And a very dark sporeprint

An interesting mixture of subjects...

 

Many primordia here...

Scott Bates suggests Mycena griseoviridis or Mycena epipterygia.
